So, this brings me to the end of my travels across Central America. I can confirm that I am now officially home and safe (relieved sighs all round)!
Well today was my last full day on the tour, and I am feeling fairly emotional writing this post. I can’t believe it’s nearly over!
Today I experienced another very full-on day packed with almost as much adrenaline as the bungee jump day, but this time with added water which I am now thoroughly sick of!
After an excellent night’s sleep we got up at 7am (a lay in! Yay!) to say goodbye to Monteverde and travel to La Fortuna for a relaxing day.
When I think back over today and my first experience of the world’s adventure capital, it feels truly surreal. It has been one of the most incredible days of my life for certain.
After a very early start, humid day and a hard border crossing, I am finally in the land of Costa Rica, Marvin’s home! I really am expecting a lot from this country.
So tomorrow, I am going to embark on a number of things which I have never done before in my life. I am flying on a plane completely alone (three planes, in fact). I am visiting a region of the world I have never been to before. I am going backpacking!
