It’s day 8 of my Ugandan adventure and finally, after more than a week of no electricity, let alone internet, I’ve finished my project with East African Playgrounds! Have a read of what I’ve been up to so far (oh, and Andy says hi).
Now I’ve finally completed my internship after eight weeks, I thought that I’d write a short summary of things that I’ve done and learned over the summer. I feel that not only have I added some very valuable assets to my skill set, I have also become a more rounded worker as a result, and can add a whole lot more to my portfolio!
So way back in September 2013, I wrote this blog post setting myself some challenges to achieve in my second year at Warwick University.
Now that I have officially finished second year, received my results and found out that I have actually passed to continue into the third year of my degree, I thought it would be appropriate to reflect on my goals, see how far I have come and re-evaluate, so I know what to aim for in my final year at university.
Over the Easter break, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to do work experience at three fantastic newspapers: the Coventry Telegraph, the Times and the Guardian.
Here I am going to write a little about my experiences to give a brief overview of what I learned from the three weeks, if you’re interested – and of course, in case you’re considering applying to any of them!
